A core beleif of Mechanical Advantage is not only to strive to be our best, but also to share knowledge among our community. Below are events we have held not only to foster innovation by allowing a safe space for questions, but also make the FIRST program known to various individuals from many backgrounds.
Events:
To expand the reach of FIRST throughout our community, we hosted a FIRST awareness event:
- Attracted and exposed over 300 students and parents to FIRST
- Boosted collaboration
- Fostered Creation of new FTC/FLL Teams
To further enhance students’ knowledge and passion for STEM:
- 4th-12th Summer Camp
- Created opportunity to explore advanced STEM concepts
- Increased exposure to FTC and FLL
To spark interest in STEM among elementary students:
- Showcased ‘Into the Deep’ Robot
- Gave real hands-on robotics experience/interaction
- Learn about robot mechanics
