We are FTC Team 24799: Mechanical Advantage, an award-winning team, consisting of passionate, hardworking, and dedicated highschool students, exploring the world of engineering, technology, and innovation. Based in Flower Mound, Texas, we are a group of determined students who believe that robotics is more than just building machines—it’s about problem-solving, teamwork, and pushing ourselves beyond limits.
Our journey began with a simple goal: to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves through the FIRST Tech Challenge. Over the years, we have built not only competitive robots but also a strong identity as a team that thrives on perseverance, collaboration, and creativity. We are proud to be recognized as an experienced and driven team that never shies away from hard work, late nights, and constant iteration in pursuit of excellence.
Who We Are
Mechanical Advantage is made up of students from diverse backgrounds; STEM and Robotics being a connecting point. Each member contributes their unique skills; whether in engineering design, programming, mechanical engineering, outreach, or leadership. We believe in learning by doing, and every robot cultivated by our team is the result of countless hours of brainstorming, designing, testing, failing, and trying again until we succeed.
